Sofia Gomez Fonzo (Chilean/Spanish) is a visual artist, photographer, and founder of Olas Gallery in Ibiza. Her work explores memory, time, and the spaces where the intimate meets the collective. Her practice is nourished by exploration, daily observation and landscapes imbued with symbolism, where photography becomes a bridge between the personal experience and universal resonance.

In her work, the island emerges as both an imaginary and real territory—a place of return where nostalgia, inspiration and presence reside. Her exhibition invites the viewer to pause, to create their own memories in dialogue with the landscapes of the island.

Since being an Ibiza resident since 2011, she has worked professionally across a wide spectrum: from nature and lifestyle to architecture, luxury properties, retreats and weddings, events and portraits of Ibiza’s people and celebrities.

Trained as a visual artist with a degree in Art, Art History, Graphic Design and Multimedia Communications, Sofia approaches photography as an intuitive process of research and discovery —a tool to capture inspiring moments and genuine emotions.

Her work has been featured in local and international publications such as Pacha Magazine, White Ibiza, Condé Nast Traveller, and The New York Times.

At the heart of her practice lies authenticity and real life. Beyond aesthetics, she seeks soul and feeling, finding beauty in the everyday and in the details. Inspired by nature and Ibiza’s laid-back lifestyle, her photography reveals a sensitive, timeless vision of island life.
